Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe, formerly south rhodesia, is a landlocked country in Southern Africa and especially interesting for the big game hunter. Zimbabwe has a good game population of all big game species such as leopard, buffalo, elephant, but also crocodiles and hippos. Compared to South Africa, the accommodations are somewhat more modest, the focus here is clearly on the hunt. Apart from the various big game species Zimbabwe also offers excellent antelope hunts eg the sable antelope.
Landscape:
The landscape ranges from dry savannah to some clear dry forests consisting of trees such as the typical savanna Baobab and acacia tree. During the dry season the game is clearly visible as the grass is short and yellow / brown in the rainy season the grass, however, can be up to 2 meters high making hunting more difficult.
