Hunting in Turkey

Turkey is a paradise for wildboar hunterswith the best chances of a strong and mature boar. The country with more than twice the size of Germany has a diverse landscape with the Mediterranean and the Black Sea, mountains and semi dessert areas. Turkey is also a great place to combine hunting with family holidays.

Stalk/highseat
For most hunters wildboarhunt means sitting ou at moonlight. This is also true in Turkey with very good success however, the wildboar are also here during the day especially in the fields in the summer months so that not only the night can be used. Five days should be enough and usually you have the chance to get 5-10 wild boar in this time with teeth lengths up to 20-25cm. The record wildboar today in Turkey is 35cm.




Drivenhunt
In addition to the pure individual hunting also targeted driven hunts are offered. These are available from September to February with December to February represent the best timimg. The hunt takes place in relatively flat areas. Compared to individual hunting the driven hunts cannot guarantee that everybody gets a wildboar. Usually 3-4 drives are done per day. During drivenhunt no kill charge applies the same is true for wounded game (also not for big wildboar). The base price for the drive hunt includes the transfer from Antalya airport, accommodation, full board, drive hunting organization and hunting and weapons license.

Beside wildboar you can also hunt for chamois, red stag and ibex in Turkey.
Chamois
In Turkey youn can hunt one of the world's 8 huntable xhamois species. This small but agile mountain goat has a strong and healthy population in the high mountains around the Black Sea region and also in the hill regions of eastern Anatolia. The main hunting areas are Artvin, Rize, Tunceli, Bingöl, Erzurum and Erzincan. The hunting time for chamois ranges from 1.8. to 31.3.
Red stag
The red deer in Anatolia is a kind of cross between the European red stag and the Asian Maral deer. Compared to the European relatives, they usually achieve better grades and higher scores trophies. The trophy weights are around 10 kg and 12 kg exceptions are possible, but the game will be charged on a flat rate and not by weight. The hunting areas are all located in central Anatolia as Afyon, Bolu, Ankara, Denizli, Eskisehir, Karabük, Kastamonu. The hunting season is from 1.9. to 31.12. with 4-6 hunting days should be enough. The best time is September and October.
Bezoar Ibex
The Bezoar Ibex is the most fascinating Ibex for most ibex hunters and should not be missing in the trophy room. We can offer the bezoar huntin the Taurus mountains in southern Turkey, in the mountains in central Turkey and the Black Sea. Despite the rough nature and rocks in which the Ibex lives it is possible in almost all parts of Turkey to hunt the bezoar without large efforts. The trophies of the ibex are between 100cm and 150cm long. The hunting season is from 1.8. to 31.3. and it should be scheduled 5-7 days.



Roe deer
Roedeer is the smallest deer in Turkey and can be hunt in west and central Black Sea area. The hunting time is from 1st May to 31st October but the best time is May and June.

Accomodation
The accommodations for the hunts in Turkay are done in hotels near the hunting areas. According to the wishes of the Hunting guest our partners can arrange all uo to a 5-star luxury hotel, before booking we would check this accordingly. Should you select a hotel of higher rating than the one included in the daily rates it will be charged an appropriate fee, this is individually depending on booking.

Partner
Our partner Taurus Safaris has leased a 300,000-hectare area in Greater area of Isparta. The district consists of 80% forest and 20% of fruit and vegetable crops. This area is mainly used for wildboarhunting, he has hunting opportunities in many Areas of Turkey on other game species.
