Hunting in Slovenia

Hunting Areas The hunting ground on which we hunt in Slovenia is one of the largest hunting districts in the Republic of Slovenia. The total hunting area is almost 43,000 hectares and extends from the western Karawanken over the Kamnik - Savinjske - Alps to the Logar dolina valley. The hunting district is divided into 13 hunting grounds, which range from 400 m to more than 2,500 above sea level. Each area has his own professional gamekeeper.

Accommodation
Each hunter decides in advance itself, where he wants to be housed. You can go for a hotel, guest house or accommodation in a hunting lodge. In all Lodges that are in the heart of the hunting areas we use self-catering. Arrivalbr> The hunting area is well connected to the existing main roads. From Brnik airport there are about 15-20, from the Slovenian capital Ljubljana 30 km. If you land at Brnik Airport, it is possible already after two hours to be in the hunting area. game species
In Slovenia we can hunt chamois , roe deer , red deer, mouflon , wild boar and the Alpine ibex. Most game in the hunting district make the chamois, which belong to the European top in regards to their quality. Chamois in the idyllic alpine world is regarded as one of the finest hunts. The hunt in our hunting ground are organized virtually regardless of the physical condition of the hunting guest. We can hunt the chamois from the middle - to high mountains , hunting season lasts by Beginning of August until the end of December. A special feature of the hunting ground is the population of the Alpine ibex with mature individuals who are well suited for trophies.

The trophy will be prepared with regard to the wishes of the hunting guest from the gamekeeper for transport. The trophy is evaluated in accordance with the applicable CIC forms , which then together with the other guide services and the hunting organization is the basis for the calculation and invoicing according to the valid price list. The invoice will be paid by the hunting guest before leaving.

Climate
Slovenia has a similar climate to Germany with different weather patterns in all four seasons. In addition three major climates meet here each other influencing the weather. In the mountains outweighs the strict Alpine climate, the coastal region characterizes the sub-Mediterranean climate, while in the plains in the north- east of the country , the climate is continental. The average temperature in July higher than 20C in January to 0C.
