Hunting in Canada Yukon
The hunting area of our partner in the Yukon is on the border to the Northwest Territory and is only accessible by waterplane ca. 3h away
from Whitehorse the capital of Yukon. The landscape is intervening with valleys and lakes from individual higher mountains and hills.
In the north the area we hunt the Dall sheep and caribou in the center and south we hunt caribou and moose. Hunting in the Yukon is
a pure wilderness hunt which is performed with the help of horses.Moose hunt in Yukon
The hunt for moose in the Yukon is carried out at on horseback. The hunter flies in at the beginning into one of the two main camps
by waterplane and the next morning the guide rides with the hunter in the chosen hunting area. In hunting area then
a spike camp is build up with tents. The hunt begins in the morning after sunrise, after a

Also in the hunt for Dall sheep horses are used. Compared to moose hunting the Dallschafjagd requires far better condition because every day the mountains must be climbed to look out for Dall sheep and also some done on foot when the horses stay back. The dall sheep hunt is partially chased from the main camp or as the moose hunt from spike camp. The Hunt starts in the morning after sunrise , after a breakfast it will be ridden to a known dall sheep spot. As soon as a matching Dall sheep is in sight it will be tried to get close to it and hunt it. During the dall sheep hunt you may need to shoot longer distance so a rapid caliber with a flat trajectory are recommended.

Both the moose hunt as well as dall sheep hunt can be combined with caribou and grizzly.
